To reach our city with God's transforming love and power.

We gather mid-week in homes, called MiniChurches, to eat together, study the Bible and pray for each other.

We offer classes to learn more about the Bible and what it means to follow Jesus.

Hope Chapel of the Valley began in 1982 as a small group of young people meeting in a local drug dealer's home. They came to believe in Jesus after the tragic loss of one of their close friends to drugs and alcohol. Jeff Fischer led the meeting. He was attending Hope Chapel in Hermosa Beach under Pastor Ralph Moore which was known as the "surfer's church" where everyone was welcome to come just as they were. Jeff believed his friends needed a "church like this" in the Valley where he grew up. Ralph agreed and sent Jeff out to start a new church. Hope Chapel of the Valley was born. Jeff's rock band became the first worship team. Many friends and family began attending out of curiosity about what had changed so many people's lives. What they experienced was God's love, acceptance and forgiveness in a non-religious atmosphere. To this day Hope Chapel of the Valley remains true to its core vision: to "love you as is", to be a church that isn't churchy and to be a spiritual hospital where people are cared for, healed and transformed.
